About the Galveston Island Brewing 5k Beer Run
This chip-timed event starts and finishes at the brewery, runs along the famed Galveston Seawall on a well supported, flat and fast out and back course. Walker friendly! Once you cross the finish line, hit the tasting area to collect your souvenir pint glass and enjoy up to four 8-oz. tastings of Galveston Island craft beer!

Your entry includes a custom finisher glass, four 8-oz tastings of GIBC’s finest, an official race performance fabric T-shirt, and a well-marked and supported course. Also:

Awards
Top male and female overall and master (40 and up) winners will receive custom awards designed just for beer lovers! Custom awards also go to the top three male and female in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and up. YOU WILL LOVE THESE AWARDS. We will hold a random drawing for souvenir awards AFTER the competitive award ceremony.
The Course
This flat, fast out-and-back course starts and finishes at Galveston Island Brewing Co. and runs to Seawall Blvd. before returning to the brewery. One water stop at the halfway point.
Packet Pick Up
- Friday before the event at the brewery from 4-7PM.
- Race Day from 6:30-8AM
Parking
It’s free and there’s plenty of it. Follow volunteer and/or police instructions for brewery parking.
